We’ve put together some handy advice, tips and additional info to help you understand and enjoy your purchase that much more. We learnt the hard way so you don’t have to!


General - Human Hair
Our 100% Remy Human Hair products can last a lifetime provided you take good care of them. You can style and care for your items the way you would do for your natural hair, that means you can wash, condition, blow dry, straighten, curl, color and cut the hair.

Please keep in mind that your human hair product has been colored when you receive it, should you wish to color it, it’s best to always test the color on a small piece where it is not noticeable to see how the color comes out. Never bleach your human hair product as it will strip the hair of all moisture and make it fragile and dry. If you are not sure about the color pick a slightly lighter color so you can always color it darker.

The more styling aids you use on the hair, the more you will need to protect it by using leave in conditioners and heat protectors. Tip: if you leave the human hair to dry naturally after washing it will dry up sleek and smooth, with blow drying it will get a little bit frizzier.

Wigs - Human Hair
When your human hair wig arrives, it will be in ‘factory condition’, meaning it will be in the length and color you have ordered it but it will not arrive perfectly styled as seen on the image. You can either wear your new wig to your hairdresser to have it set, cut and styled or you can style it yourself. Please keep in mind that the inside of your wig has cotton stitching which can shrink if you wash it in hot water. Rather use cold/warm water when you wash it.

Once it has been styled you can leave it on your Wig Stand overnight and put your freshly styled wig back on in the morning, no fuss!

A high quality Human Hair wig is an investment in yourself and, if looked after, will give you endless good hair days.

Clip in extensions - Human Hair
Clip in extensions are the only non-damaging option to add length and/or volume to your hair. Each set consists of high quality machine weft pieces of different widths that attach to your hair with small pressure clips.

You simply take them out whenever you sleep, shower, swim, etc. so your natural hair does not suffer and you can style the extensions prior to putting them in so you merely have to do a little touch up every now and then. It is crucial that you clip the extensions in according to the directions added to your product and give your hair a “rest” every now and then i.e. go a few days without wearing them.

For those of you with naturally fine or brittle hair, we advise you to mist hairspray over each parting before clipping the pieces in as it gives extra hold where needed. As an extra option you can tease your natural hair in the parting AND mist hairspray on it when you have an important function like a wedding and/or it’s a very windy day. It will make you feel more confident that everything stays in place. Keep in mind though that once you have clipped in your pieces and they feel comfortable they will not come out unless force is used!
